Report Letter, Accountability
June 20, 2024
Dear Brethren, Greetings in Christ. My spring meetings have taken place in Illinois and Iowa. They have included one-day meetings, pulpit supply, and conference preaching. God moved in hearts during the meetings, pastors were encouraged and the churches were challenged to seek personal, corporate, and national revival. I put much prayer into these meetings and beg the Holy Spirit to have power and preeminence in the pulpit in addition to the pew. After all, unless the Spirit moves in hearts all is vain and man accomplished! So, praise be to God for all that He has done! The church that I was assisting in central Illinois in between my meetings has called a pastor after nearly 5 years without one, so praise be to God for His faithfulness and goodness. God has enabled me to do 7 church rescues over the years as a missionary evangelist. It always does my heart good to see these churches stay open and go on for God. Please pray for Heartland Baptist Church in St. Elmo, IL to grow and make an impact for Christ. I continue to help a couple of churches where we live with their soulwinning efforts and God has blessed with several presentations of the gospel and follow-up contacts. And, as I reported in my last letter, Bethany, my barber, is still so receptive to the gospel and very close to being saved. Please continue to pray fervently for her. In closing, your faithful prayers and financial support are making a difference for Christ. Thank you for your care of us. For the Old Paths, Evangelist Darryl S. Zingre |
